Buying a horse from a distance: what is some advice?

In my personal opinion, I wouldn't buy a horse without seeing him multiple times or trying him for a week straight. You could take that chance and get him, but risk not really getting to know him. I know that you said you are going to see him, but one time isn't going to finalize it. On very rare ocassions does this actually work.
