When I wake up in the morning, I always have a ton of mucous in my right eye. Why is that?

I guess the best advice anyone here could give you is to go and see an optometrist (ummm, an eye doctor). It could be anything from an infection (which would require treatment and may be caused by, say, rubbing the eye with a dirty hand) to an irritation.
